To help identify Hawaiian fish, there are two Hawaiian FishFlips® books available. One is written in English, with Hawaiian translations and the other is written in Japanese, with English translations. Each Hawaiian fish id book contains over 80 beautiful, full color photos with the Hawaiian reef fish's names printed big and bold.
The pictures on the right are examples of Hawaiian Reef fish that are selected from our Hawaiian Islands books. From top to bottom they are:
- Cornetfish
- Hawaiian Bigeye
- Wedgetail Triggerfish
The Hawaiian Islands books are bound with cable ties to a coil strap that fits anyone's wrist. FishFlips® are printed on waterproof plastic paper so they can be worn in the water where the Hawaiian reef fish are. The next time you are in Hawaii snorkeling or diving, all you need do is flip through the 2" by 3" Hawaiian reef fish pictures to identify what's staring you in the mask.
Hawaiian Islands FishFlips® feature endemic Hawaiian species you'll see while snorkeling at Tunnels or Poipu Beach on Kauai, Kapalua or Honolu‘a Bays or Molokini Crater on Maui. FishFlips® are also great for diving and snorkeling at Hanauma Bay on Oahu and Cathedrals, Kona Coast or Manta Ray Village on the Big Island. FishFlips® is the perfect snorkeling guide to what's swimming around you anywhere in the Hawaiian Islands.
